I cannot believe how fast the time is going by. Summer is going to be here before we know it!
Here are a few announcements:
- Our next Field Trip is to the Burke Museum on May 15th! We splurged for school buses so we will need chaperones, but not drivers. A permission slip will be going home on Monday!
- Show and tell is back! If the schedule did not make it home in your orange folder, e-mail me and I will get you one. If the day comes and you forget to bring a book, no big deal! Bring it in another day and we will find a time to fit it in! Tell your student to bring their book to me first thing in the morning so we don't forget it!
- Don't forget to email [email protected] if your student will be late or absent! It is best if you just cc them in the e-mail you send to me. If they show up late, please remember to check them in at the office after you drop them off. Thanks!

Garden Week!
On Monday, we planted our starts in the garden! Every class has now had time to plant and our garden is ready for Spring. We can't wait to watch everything grow!
Despite the rain, the Garden walk was a success! Ms. Meg worked so hard in hanging all the student art and showcasing all of their amazing talents! Next time you see her, give her a big THANKS! She sure deserves it! Here are a few snapshots of our class work! If you didn't get a chance to come, all the artwork is still up in the brick building for viewing.
Goooo Sounders!
Wow! I can't believe we sold over 350 tickets to the game! Mr. Bailey could not have been more excited to have such a great turn out. The game was a blast! It was fun to look up in the stands and see all the happy faces from our Queen Anne community. Last Friday, a few special vistors came to QAE to talk about their experience as members of the Sounders. A few 5th graders came up with a list of interview questions and took the lead in talking to our guests. Great Job 5th graders!
